Terms of service
The rules for using this website. Consulting work runs on a signed agreement, not on this page.

These terms
By using alignel.com you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using the site.
The site is operated by Alignel, [registered address]. Contact: admin@alignel.com.
What the site is
This is a marketing site. It describes what we do and lets you start a conversation. Nothing on it is an offer to contract, a quote, or professional advice for your situation.
Consulting work runs on a separate written agreement signed by both sides: a statement of work or a master services agreement. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement wins.
Using the site
You may read the site, print pages, and share links for your own or your organisation's use. You may not:
- Copy or republish our content as your own
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for anyone else
- Probe, attack or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it
- Use it to break the law or infringe someone else's rights
We can suspend access if any of that happens.
What you send us
Send only what you are allowed to send. The contact form is a first point of contact, not a secure channel, so keep confidential material, personal data about other people, credentials and client information out of it. Once we are talking, we will agree a proper channel and an NDA if you want one.
You keep ownership of what you send, and you give us permission to read it and act on it so we can reply. We treat enquiries as confidential in practice, but the form carries no guarantee of confidentiality until an NDA is in place.
Our content
The text, design, code, logos and graphics on this site belong to Alignel or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. The Alignel name and mark may not be used without written permission.
Accuracy
We keep the site current, but we do not promise it is complete, free of errors, or always available. Descriptions of past work are summaries, not guarantees. Figures, timelines and outcomes shown here describe particular engagements and are not a prediction of what your project will produce.
The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Links out
Where we link to another site, we do not control it and are not responsible for it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Alignel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim connected to the site is limited to £100.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Liability for consulting work is set by the agreement covering that work, not by this page.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
